Open plains in Serengeti style with lions, elephants, buffalo, and zebras – plus a visit to a Maasai boma. Ideal for a compact safari introduction.

Day 1 – Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park

Pick-up from the airport, hotel, or ferry and transfer to the SGR railway station for your train to the Morogoro region (approx. 1–2 hours). On arrival, our driver-guide picks you up and takes you to Mikumi National Park for a game drive from late morning into the afternoon. After a hot lunch, you continue the game drive until early evening, then drive to the camp – dinner and overnight stay.Activities: game drive · Meals: lunch and dinner

Day 2 – Game Drive & Maasai Culture

After breakfast, we set out on a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The park stretches across a vast plain, so you can spot a great many animals – including lions, elephants, buffalo, impala, zebras, and many more. Enjoy lunch at the picnic sites in the park. Afterwards the game drive continues until around 3:30 pm, followed by a visit to a Maasai boma until late evening before returning to the hotel – dinner and overnight stay.Activities: full-day game drive

Day 3 – Mikumi → Dar es Salaam

Days 1–3 – Nyerere National Park (Selous)

Arrive in Dar es Salaam and transfer to Nyerere, Africa's largest national park. Game drives and afternoon boat safaris along the Rufiji River – hippos, crocodiles, and prolific birdlife.

Day 4 – Travel to Mikumi National Park

A park known for its open floodplains and excellent chances of seeing lions, zebras, and buffalo – easily accessible and great value for wildlife viewing.

Days 5–7 – Ruaha National Park

Travel to Ruaha, Tanzania's largest national park, famous for its dramatic, rugged landscapes and huge concentrations of elephants and predators. Full days tracking cheetahs, leopards, and wild dog packs.

Day 8 – Return to Mikumi

A final morning game drive in Ruaha, then a transfer vehicle or short domestic flight back to Mikumi for a relaxed evening.

Day 9 – Return to Dar es Salaam
